Hello and greetings fellow otaku,

Now over the last few years, I have seen some really weird videos that I have decided to use for Anime Remix. But the one that I am going to be talking about has to be one of the most weirdest videos that I have ever seen in my entire life.

Now in this following video, we see a little tiger character named Shimajiro teaching young Japanese toddlers how to go to the potty. Now if you think potty training was weird for you growing up, just imagine how many kids would be freaked out by this if they had to see this here in the states? Pretty scary I would imagine.

But if you think that is strange, you should see how they teach kids to do number two!!!!!

Enjoy the videos everyone and I will catch you guys later!!!!!

Anime Remix Japanese Culture Edition-Nanami Madobe

May 10, 2010

Nanami Madobe

Hello and greetings fellow otaku,

It is time now for another edition of Anime Remix Japanese Culture Edition. Now, your probably wondering who this lovely little lady above the video is. Well for those of you who don’t know, this is Nanami Madobe the Japanese mascot for Windows 7 (AKA:WINNDOWS SVN!!!!). Sorry to make fun of her, it just fun to say it that way.

But getting back to business, the following video features Nanami working as a computer store clerk showing viewers how to build there own pc’s with Windows 7 (WINNNDOWS 7: come on, you have to admit that is funny!!!!!). But just a word of caution, she does go a little fast during the assembly part, but she slows down during the features segment. But overall this is a very interesting video and I hope you guys enjoy it. Take care and I will talk to you guys again soon. Ltrs.

And one other thing:WINNDOWS 7!!!!!!!!!!! LOL!!!!!

Anime Remix:Japanese Culture Edition-Brain Survivor

January 10, 2010

brain survivor

Hello and greetings fellow otaku,

I think that you guys are going to like what I have for anime remix this week. In this edition of anime remix, we take a look at the popular Japanese game show known as Brain Survivor. Now most of you may or may not know that we have our own version of Brain Survivor here in the states entitled Brainsurge which airs on Nickelodeon weekday afternoons. The show is the same as ours but in this clip, we see that the bonus rounds are completely different.

In the Japanese version, two finalists are shown a series of colors in which they must match the order of the colors on the steps in the order that they appeared on the video screen. But in our version, a contestant must memorize a random pattern on a floor in which they must re-create exactly. In both bonus rounds contestants are timed in how long they can complete the path. So after seeing both versions, I personally like the Japanese version better. The reason why is that it is more interesting and its just better when it is shown in its original form. I also feel that their should be an adult version of this show with the Japanese format. Hopefully someone at MTV is reading this!!!!!!!! But anyway, enjoy the video and I will talk to you again soon. Ltrs.

For this edition of anime remix Japanese culture edition, we are going to focus on the Japanese television show known as Silent Library. Recently, MTV is airing a U.S. version of this popular television show. I only seen parts of the show so far and I think it is ok. But I am planning to watch a full episode so I can give you guys a better view of the show. The following is a clip of the original show from Japan. That’s all for now, so untill next time remember. Their is a ton of great anime and manga out there, all you have to do is find it. Ltrs.

And one other thing, if any of you readers out there have seen the U.S. version, I would like to get your thought’s. Please share your thoughts by commenting on this post. .

Anime Remix Japanese Culture Edition- Game Gear

December 28, 2008

Hello and friendly greetings fellow Otaku,

I hope you all had a great holiday weekend, we only have a few day’s left in 2008 so I think I have enough time to post one last anime remix for 08. The final video for this year is a Japanese commercial for the sega gaming console known as the game gear. It was a a portable gaming device that was going against the original nintendo game boy in the portable gaming market in the late 80’s and early 90’s. Sadly, game boy was more popular which resulted in the game gear disappearing in the mid 90’s. Enjoy the clip and I will have a special post for you guys later this week. Later.

Anime Remix- Japanese Culture Edition

November 2, 2008

Hello fellow otaku,

We are going to do something a little different for anime remix this week. I found a very interesting video on youtube featuring a Japanese show in which unsuspecting people fall into trap holes filled with hot water. I guess you could say that this show almost like punked which aired on MTV a few years ago, but in Japanese. anyway, enjoy and well catch ya later.
