Site Announcements-Anime Full Circle is Now Two Years Old!!!!!! Happy Birthday AFC!!!!!!

September 20, 2010

birthday   birthday 2

Hello and greetings fellow otaku and to my blogging friends from around the world,

Well I can’t believe it but Anime Full Circle is now officially two years old. Now I know the old saying that when a child becomes a two year old, lets just say things can be hectic for the parents. Hopefully that won’t be the case for AFC, at least I hope not LOL!!!!! But anyway, I would like to take just a few moments to say thank you to all you readers out there for your continued support for Anime Full Circle.

Granted this has been some what a rough year for me, I haven’t had much time to blog because of work and school and that I am currently getting ready to graduate with my Bachelor’s degree in Computer Technology on top of finding full time employment and applying for Graduate school for next fall, but all in all things are working out perfectly. So this means that AFC will continue on for many years to come. But enough about my personal life, let me tell you guys what I have in store for you this year.

1) The Week In Anime Video Edition-Now as most of you loyal readers out there know what some of the most popular segments of AFC is are. And one of those segments is one we like to call “The Week In Anime”. Well I have been thinking about this for a while, and I think that it is time to try something different with this segment. So at the moment, I am planning on doing The Week In Anime as a weekly video on YouTube. I think that it would be interesting to do and that it would bring a different change of pace for the segment. I have more details on this soon so stay tuned for more.

2) Anime Remix 2.0-Second, a little over a year and a half ago I launched a radio show known as Anime Remix. Unfortunately things didn’t go as I hoped for, however after much thought and consideration I am thinking about giving this another try. For the most part it will be an hour show that focuses on the world of anime and otaku culture. Hopefully things will work out better this time around. So stay tined for more details.

3) More Posts (And I Mean It This Time Around!!!!!)-Finally I said last year that I would try to post at least four to five times a week. Sometimes I able to meet this commitment and sometimes I wasn’t able too. But let me just say this, even though I had a rough year posting wise I plan on making this work this year. So this means you will be seeing more posts from me in the near future.

And with that I would like to thank all you loyal readers, blogging friends and otaku for your continued support for Anime Full Circle. So far we managed to reach over 25,000 hits and that even after two years in the blogging game, we are still going strong!!!!!

So until next time, remember that there is a ton of great anime and manga out there. All you have to do is find it. Ltrs.

And on an un-related note, I would like to announce that I am getting ready to launch a brand new blog know as Pendragon’s Lair. I hope to launch the site later on this week, so stay with AFC for more details.

9-11-anime-pic

Hello and greetings fellow otaku,

Now as most of you know, today is a day that changed not only the world, but the way we live our lives forever. Today is the ninth anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks.

Now how many of you readers out there remember where you were on this very sad moment in our nations history. Were you spending time with your family? Were you at your job doing your normal routine? Or were you just starting your day and realize something was completely out of place? Well wherever you were, you will probably remember it with this tragic event.

So I would like to take just a moment to honor those who managed to risk their lives to save those who were trapped in the debris of the World Trade Center, and to those who are in the armed forces who are currently serving in Iraq and Afghanistan who are fighting to protect our freedoms that we cherish everyday. And to those who lost loved ones on this tragic day, we keep you in our thoughts and in our prayers. Take care and God bless!!!!! Ltrs.

What I Am Into Right Now-Yakitate Japan!!!!!

September 10, 2010

Hello and greetings fellow otaku,

Now before I dive right into this post, let me ask you guys a quick question. Do you feel that an anime that focuses on a young boys dream in making a specialty bread for his country is a good idea for an anime? Well I don’t know about you, but I think it is a pretty interesting idea. So for this edition of What I Am Into Right Now, I am going to focus on the series known as Yakitate Japan.

Yakitate Japan is a series that focuses on the main character Azuma Kazuma, a young boy who is destined to create a national bread for his home country of Japan. Now while this may sound boring at first, the story does get interesting at the start of the second episode. But I am not going to bore you with all the details, just watch the first episode at the end of this post and I can guarantee you that you will fall in love with this series. So until next time, remember that there is a ton of great anime and manga out there. All you have to do is find it. Ltrs.

Side Note: And for those of you wondering if I am planning on doing a full review of this series? Yes, I am planning on doing a review of both the anime and manga versions of Yakitate Japan in the near future. Stay with AFC for more details.
