Edit: I accidentally said the release date for vol. 1 was to be September 9. It was a small typographical error. I do apologize for that error.

“And that’s the way it is: Saturday, June 18, 2009”

As you can probably tell, that was the way Walter Cronkite use to sign off when he was the anchor of The CBS Evening News from April 16, 1962 till February 14,1980. As many of you may have heard, Mr. Cronkite passed away yesterday at the age of 92. We send our thoughts and prayers to his friends and family. We will defiantly miss you!!!!!!!!!!!! God Bless.

Hello and greetings fellow Otaku,

As most of you readers know by now that I am an self acclaimed Otaku, but I have other interest besides anime, manga and video games. So I have decided to dedicate a new segment to share these interests. I have decided to call this segment “What I am into right now”. This segment will cover some of the things that I am currently into at the moment. We will talk about anime once in a while but this section will mostly reflect around sci-fi novels and other things. Ok enough of that let’s get started.

Anime

On the anime front, I am currently watching Azumanga Daioh, Silent Mobius and Suzuka. Yes folks, I said Azumanga Daioh. It is a really interesting series and is quite different from most of the anime series that I have seen so far. As for Silent Mobius, I am just about finished watching the series but I haven’t gotten thru the first motion picture but I will have a full review for you guys in the next few weeks so stay tuned for that. Suzuka is also another great series that I have gotten to recently, if your into romantic comedy anime this is a series to defiantly watch. You can get the box set at you local anime retailer or you can watch the entire series over at hulu. I will post a link to it at the end of this post.

Science Fiction\Fantasy Novels

As for science fiction novels, I am currently reading the The Immortal Nicholas Flamel. I am currently reading the first novel in the series entitled “The Alchemyst”. So far it has been an interesting read and I can’t wait to start on the next one in the series “The Magician”. I will defiantly be writing a review on this book for you guys in the next few days.

And that will wrap up this edition of what I am into right now. I hope you all enjoyed this new segment. I just wanted to try something different for a change. So until next time, remember that their is a ton of great anime and manga out there. All you have to do is find it. Ltrs.
