Naruto14

Hello and greetings fellow otaku,

I hope that you had an awesome Thanksgiving day and that Black Friday didn’t wear you out. But I hope you are sitting down because I got a bit of breaking news that you can call some what of a special early Christmas present for all us good Otaku out there.

It was officially announced that Cartoon Network Toonami Block will be bringing back Naruto (The Original Series) back to the block starting next Saturday December 1st 2012 at 12:30pm Eastern\ 11:30pm Central. This will be replacing Tenchi Muyo GXP which will be moving to 1pm Eastern\ 12pm Central. But this is not the only change that will be made to the schedule in which Tenchi returned a few weeks ago to the block. The following is the new schedule that will start next week (All Times Eastern).

12pm: Bleach

12:30pm: Naruto (Replacing Tenchi Muyo GXP, moving to 1am)

1pm: Tenchi Muyo GXP (Replacing  Samurai 7, moving to 2am)

1:30pm: Thundercats

2am: Samurai 7 (Replacing Sym-Bionic Titan, moving to 2:30pm)

2:30pm: Sym-Bionic Titan (replacing Eureka 7, moving to 3am)

3am: Eureka 7 (Replacing first episode of the double airing of Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood)

3:30am: Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood

4-5am: Cowboy Bebop

5-6am: Inuyasha

Source: Anime News Network

Did I also mention that the episodes will be airing UNCUT!!!! Yes, for the first time in the 4 years since the original series ended back in 2008 (Right around when the original Toonami block ended). So even if it’s your first time watching or if you were a fan from the get go like myself, you will enjoy watching this series the way it was ment to be seen.

But your probably wondering why Naruto Shippuden isn’t airing on Toonami, well that series is still under contract with Disney XD who currently has the broadcast rights to it. Even though they haven’t aired any new episodes in recent years, I don’t see why they can’t give the rights to Cartoon Network. It would be awesome to see them both together and completely uncut. But it pretty much a long shot to see that happen.

But all in all, this is going to be a great time for all anime fans. So until next time, remember that there is a ton of great anime and manga out there. All you have to do is find it. Ltrs.

Afc First Looks-Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood (English Dub)

Hello and greetings fellow otaku,

Now as most of you may or may not have known, Adult Swim aired the first episode of the English dub of Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood last Saturday. Well for those of you were not able to catch it, here is your first look of the new series. Fullmetal Alchemist:Brotherhood is a complete retelling of the original Fullmetal Alchemist Series in which it focuses more on the manga than the original series itself. But now for those of you who are unfamiliar with the original series, here is a brief overview of the series.

The series focuses on Edward and Alphonse Elric, two brothers who were bound by fate from trying to resurrect their dead mother by using Alchemy. However, they were unsuccessful by which they were punished for their actions in which Edward looses an arm and a leg and Alphonse loses his entire body but his soul is placed inside a suit of armor. Edward vows to find a way to restore their bodies in which he decided to become a State Alchemist. Ok, let’s fast forward about 51 episodes.

Now as I mentioned just a moment ago, FMA Brotherhood is a complete retelling of the original Fullmetal Alchemist series. The series features most of the original characters from the original series and a few new characters as well. The cast for the English dub features most of the original voice actors and actresses from the original series. Now I don’t know about you but if a series features the original cast, well that’s something to appreciate.

Overall Thoughts

Overall I feel that the English dub of FMA Brotherhood was really good. But it is still a little bit early to tell, but I will be watching both the dub and sub versions of the series in which I will give you guys a full review. So stay tuned everyone and until next time. Remember that their is a ton of great anime and manga out there, all you have to do is find it. Ltrs.
