We today I was going to reveal who was going to move on in our Anime March Madness tournament today, but since today is St. Patrick’s Day I am going to hold off on it until tomorrow!!!!!!! So happy St. Patrick’s Day everybody. Have fun and remember if you plan on partying tonight, make sure you have a designated driver. Remember, drinking and driving is not cool!!!!!!!!!! Well I have some major news to share with you guys. In over the year and a half that Anime full Circle has been live, I never had expected that today we would reach the 10,000 visitor milestone. That’s right guys, since Anime Full Circle went live back on September 20,2008 over 10,000 visitors!!!!!!!!!!!! And to be honest with you guys, I didn’t think we would make it to this point.

So I would like to take just a moment to thank all you readers out there in blogging land for your continued support for Anime Full Circle. Without you guys, we wouldn’t still be going strong. But I would also like to thank a few people out there who are strong supporters of AFC.

First, I would like to thank Matt G from Finally Anime. From time to time he comments on AFC with some interesting and awesome comments for my posts, but I would also like to thank him for giving me another shot at being a co-author. I am enjoying my time at Finally Anime and I hope that are relationship as bloggers stays strong now and well into the future.

Second, Blue Drakon (Aka:Dan) from Two Old For Anime. He a new commenter here at AFC and he also recently joined Matt and I on the staff at Finally Anime. He is a really interesting guy in which his blog provides an interesting insight into the world of anime.  If you haven’t checked out Two Old For Anime, I totally recommend checking it out. It is defiantly worth visiting.

Third, I would like to thank Yi over at Listless Ink. Another great blog that provides a cool look at anime, games and much much more!!!!!!!! The post on Yi’s site are very interesting to read and I always like to comment on them whenever I get a moment to visit LI. And Don’t worry, I will post links to these sites at the end of this post!!!!!!!!!!

And finally, I would like to give a special thank you to Aaron and Diana Schnuth from Schnuthcast. For those of you who don’t know what I am talking about, Schnuthcast is a great podcast that talks about everything from anime, sci-fi, manga, graphic novels, video games and a whole bunch of other things. It is a really great podcast for those of you who are looking for podcast that gives you a little bit of everything!!!!!!!!!!! I defiantly recommend checking it out!!!!!!!!

Have I got great news for all you readers out there who are Evangelion fans out there. And before anyone starts to comment, no its not about Evangelion 2.0’s release date (Though I wish it were though. LOL!!!!!!!!). But getting back on track, it has been recently announced that Dark Horse Comics will be releasing a new Evangelion graphic novel later this summer.

The new novel entitled Neon Genesis Evangelion: Campus Apocalypse will be a complete retelling of the series in a more dark tone. The series is slated to be released on August 11,2010. Dark Horse Comics has done a previous retelling of the series entitled Neon Genesis Evangelion: The Shinji Ikari Raising Project which is currently in publication. First off, I would like to apologize for doing an extra post today but I forgot to mention this yesterday. As most of you probably know, yesterday marked the beginning of daylight savings time. This means that we have to set our clocks one hour ahead of the regular time. So your probably wondering, Andrew how does this affect me? Well here is the reason why. While we know to make sure to set our home clocks an hour ahead, we don’t realize that we also have to set our blogs time an hour ahead as well.

I just found out about this myself when I went to log into WordPress this evening in which they had an article about changing your blogs time zone. I will post a link to the article for those of you who have WordPress blogs out there at the end of this post. But for those of you who do not use WordPress it is important to make sure that you set your time zone ahead one hour to compensate for DST. Otherwise, you may run into big problems!!!!!!!!!!! So make sure to check your blogging services website to see how to  change your time zone. It only takes a second and trust me, it will be worth it in the long run.

Well since today officially kicks off March Madness (Aka: NCAA College Basketball Tournament), I have decided to do my own version of this major sporting event in which I will call Anime March Madness. And before I get into this, I can assure you that their will be no confusing brackets to fill out but you will get to be a part of the action!!!!!!! So without further ado, let’s get started.

Ok, here’s how it is going to work. So for the next few weeks, I am going to be pairing up different aspects of otaku culture to face off in a head to head showdown to see who is the best of the best in the world of otaku culture. So lets get this competition started with our first match up, and here it is.

Round 1-Phoenix Wright Vs. Apollo Justice

So for our first match up we have two of the greatest attorneys ever to be featured in a video game franchise. I am referring to Phoenix Wright and Apollo Justice. So before I tell you guys how to get involved, lets take a look at the evidence shall we!!!!! LOL!!!!!

Phoenix Wright

Now as most of you guys know, Phoenix Wright was known as a rookie defense attorney in the original ace attorney games. He was also known for his dry wit and sense of humor when it comes to trials. But after he lost his attorneys badge over forged evidence, he adopts a young girl named Trucy Greymeyer and opens up a talent agency in which he looks for new and current talent. Sounds like a person who you like to hire if you get caught in a jam doesn’t it. Ok, lets move on.

Apollo Justice

Next we have Apollo Justice, a young attorney with a mysterious past. Abandoned as an infant, young Apollo grew up to be a strong attorney in which Phoenix takes him under his wing in order to improve and hone his skills as an defense attorney. It is also know that he is the half brother of Trucy!!!!!!!!

Now I know what you are probably thinking, how the heck is this picture related to this post. Well read on and you will see what I mean.

Just recently, Sony announced that they will be releasing a new remote type device for the Playstation 3. The new device know as the Playstation Move looks relatively similar to the Wii remote for the Nintendo Wii, however Sony claims that the move will allow players to be immersed into the actual game play itself with the remotes incredible precision. The Move will be available as a stand alone package, a starter kit with remote and eye camera and as part of a new PS3 bundle. The Following pictures show the Playstation move and Wii remotes side by side.

Now I don’t know about you guys, but I just have one thing to say about this. Sony, WHAT THE F*@& were you guys thinking when you were developing this device. Granted I know that you are just trying to get a share of Nintendo’s success, but making a knockoff of the Wii remote? ANTA BAKA!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well I have some bad news for those of you who are major Bleach fans out there. It has been recently announced that the Adult Swim block on Cartoon Network will not be airing new episodes of the Bleach anime series in April. Earlier this year Adult Swim ran an on-air bumper stating that new episodes of the popular anime series would premiere in April. However, according to the new schedule that was released by the network, the series will stop airing new episodes after episode 167 and will be showing repeats starting with episode 129.

It is also known that Adult Swim will now only be airing 3 episodes of Bleach from 12:30am to 1:30pm with a double run of Cowboy Bebop taking over the 2:00am time slot where the fourth episode would air. So after a few weeks of no important anime news, we finally got two interesting stories that will knock your socks off. So make sure that you are sitting down before reading on, we here at Anime Full Circle cannot be held responsible for those of you readers who end up passing out from reading these stories!!!!!!!!

Our first story features one of the most loveable characters of Japanese popular culture. No I am not talking about Pikachu, I am talking about Domo-Kun. It has been recently announced that the Japanese television network NHK will be giving the popular mascot a new look. NHK states that Domo will be sporting a new superhero look in which will promote NHK transition to digital television. Domo’s new look will debut on the NHK television networks starting on March 29. The following is a picture of Domo’s new look, check it out.

In other anime related news,

Media Blasters had recently announced that the company would be laying off thirteen members of it’s staff in the accounting and print departments. The company states that the layoffs will not be affecting the current release schedule of titles in production.

Well with the release of Final Fantasy XIII only 48 hours away, i figured that it would be appropriate to celebrate the release of this new release of this popular series by doing a special edition of Anime Remix Amv Edition. This Final Fantasy Amv features clips from Final Fantasy X tied to the music of Evanescence’s My Immortal.

Granted I wish I had a PS3 so I can play FF XIII, but I can’t afford one at the moment with school and all. But once I graduate from school, I think I will get one and get this and Blazblue!!!!!!!
