First off, I would like to apologize for doing an extra post today but I forgot to mention this yesterday. As most of you probably know, yesterday marked the beginning of daylight savings time. This means that we have to set our clocks one hour ahead of the regular time. So your probably wondering, Andrew how does this affect me? Well here is the reason why. While we know to make sure to set our home clocks an hour ahead, we don’t realize that we also have to set our blogs time an hour ahead as well.
I just found out about this myself when I went to log into WordPress this evening in which they had an article about changing your blogs time zone. I will post a link to the article for those of you who have WordPress blogs out there at the end of this post. But for those of you who do not use WordPress it is important to make sure that you set your time zone ahead one hour to compensate for DST. Otherwise, you may run into big problems!!!!!!!!!!! So make sure to check your blogging services website to see how to change your time zone. It only takes a second and trust me, it will be worth it in the long run.

Did you ever hear something that makes you think, what the heck were they thinking. Well here is one that meets that criteria. It was recently announced that Google’s advertising service is to create a manga to show their chrome web browser and it’s spread around the world. The manga focuses on how the Japanese developers making sure that multilingual webpages display accurately.
My View
I have to say that this is one of the weirdest but most interesting advertising moves that Google has ever taken on. This will defiantly bring interest to international markets. If you are interested in taking a look at the manga, please click on the following link. Ltrs.
Unfortunatly due to circumstances beyond my control. I have decided to cancel tomorrow nights preview episode of anime remix. However the premiere is still going to be on July 11 at 8:00pm in which we will be talking about the anime and manga series Genshiken. So untill then, remember. As most of you know by now, I am launching a new radio show called anime remix. I had a seperate blog in which the site would be ran but due to slow turn out I have decided to move the site here. I think this would be easier because most of you readers out there are familiar with the site so I figure that this will be alot easier to bring it here in one place instead of two seperate sites. I will be moving all the information from the other site to here over the next few days. This is a realy great clip from the Japanese game show the batsu game. This clip involves contestants in a classroom watching a video on how to speak english. The object is to not laugh while the video is playing. But if a contestant does laugh, they will get a severe punishment. I will just let you guys find out the punishment is. It is now time to introduce another new segment to anime full circle I would like to call Only In Japan. And for our first ever only in japan segment, I would like to introduce you to Asimo. Now some of you know who this friendly guy is, but for those of you who do not know Asimo is a robot created by Honda. You may have seen the commercials when goes out and gets the newspaper or the youtube video showing him dancing. Asimo was created to help the elderly with general tasks such as getting the paper and other things. In my honest opinion, Asimo is the best thing to come to the states since anime. And that is the first ever edition of only in Japan. Take care everybody and I will catch ya later.
Unfortunatly I experienced some minor technical diffaculties when I uploaded the under 17 and manzo videos. It looks like only the under 17 video showed up and the manzo video got cut off for some reason. Not to worry though, I will try posting it again later this week. Take care everyone.
This might be somewhat of a sad day for some of you old school Otaku out there. The reason why I say this is because the format of the laserdisc is now officially dead. It was recently announced that pioneer electronics will be discontinuing development of laserdisc players. For those of you who do not know what laserdisc is, laserdisc was the predecessor of modern DVD players. Laserdisc were huge, it just about the same size as a 45 record used for record players. Here is an example of what one looks like.
My view: I remember laserdisc briefly because I remember in my fifth grade science, we use to watch movies on them. It was really cool. It is an unfortunate shame that this format would not last for a new generation.

We are going to take a little hiatus from anime remix for a few weeks, I know it is a popular segment on this blog but it is best to not burn it out. But before we to the weeks top story, I just want to take a moment to wish you and your family and friends a very merry christmas and a very happy new year. I hope that you take some time to spend the holidays with family and friends and to remember the meaning for this season. And now time for the week in anime.
As I have said previously, the anime industry has been going thru a hard time recently with the increase of bootleg dvd’s being sold and also with the current state of the economy. But their is one company that is comming out of this slump. The company that I am refering to is ADV films. It has been recently announced that Adv is comming out of the current slump of anime sales and its money problems. It has teamed up with a new business partner in which they formed two new companies known as Sential filmworks and Switchblade pictures. One will be dealing with strictly anime and the other will deal with live action films.
My view
I am happy that Adv is finally getting out the slump they been having over the past year, over the years adv has released some of the greatest anime series ever made such as robotech, bubblegum crisis tokyo 2040 and the dirty pair series. In my honest opinion, I feel that adv is one of the top anime distributers in the anime industry today. Overall I hope that adv will have continued success with this new partnership and that they will bring more great anime series to the states. Once again have a merry christmass, happy new year and I will talk to you guys again after the holidays.
I want to appoligize for not posting up a new anime remix this past weekend. I have been relly busy with personal obligations these past few days. I promiss that their will be a new anime remix this weekend. Also about postings, I hope to start doing postings on a regular basis soon. I don’t know when exactly I will start doing that, but it will be comming down the road soon.
