Misc Stuff-I Am Still Alive, But I Have Been Busy With Life!!!!

Hello and greetings fellow otaku,

Well I know what you are thinking, why the heck haven’t I had posted anything new in the last month but things have been a little crazy for me.

For one thing, I have been doing some post-undergraduate work in which I am currently taking a film and literature class online which I have devoted most of my time in the last few weeks and most recently I have been accepted into graduate school for library and information science. Thus the reason why I am doing this is to adjust my schedule between work and taking classes in order to manage my time efficiently when I start grad work in the fall.

But that does not mean that I will stop blogging, not by a long shot. I still have a huge passion for anime and manga in which I have been watching a ton of series and reading multiple manga series in which I have a lot to share with you. I also have a few guest posts that you will enjoy as well along with my complete review of Cuticle Detective Inaba which is wrapping up soon so I totally need to get caught up with that. But all in all, I still will be blogging but it is important to note that school and work come first before blogging. There is plenty of time for blogging when the work is done, so don’t worry, we’ll still be around covering the world of otaku culture for many more years to come.

Misc Stuff-Happy New Year (2013) From Anime Full Circle!!!!

Hello and greetings fellow otaku,

Well in less than a few hours from now we will say good bye to 2012 and hello to 2013. So it time to reflect back on the happenings that AFC has made in the past year.

As you probably may have noticed, I haven’t had much time to do any new posts over the last couple of months due to personal events with my life including starting a new full-time job in which limited my blogging time quite substantially. Thus I was only able to come up with 25 new posts this year instead of the millions that I normally due thought the year.  But this does not mean that you stopped visiting, over the past year we have gained over 54,000 new visitors and we have surpassed the 100,000 mark. I have to admit that this is a great achievement for our four year old site that I started back in 2008.

But while I haven’t been able to post much this past year, I know that I still have the heart and passion to keep this site alive. I have never given up on bringing you the latest information about the world of otaku culture and we are not going to stop now. Thus my new years resolution is to be more productive with AFC and be able to provide you all the latest information along with reviews of new anime and manga series, classics and diamonds in the rough along with more information on comics, video games and much more.

So in closing, I just want to wish you and my fellow bloggers out there a very happy 2013 and I hope that we will continue bringing the best of Japanese anime to fans around the world. Misc Stuff-Happy Thanksgiving From AFC!!!!

I just wanted to take a moment to say to all you loyal readers out there to wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving and to present you with some advice.

1) When getting chased by a turkey, don’t try to fight it. It want’s to be your friend!!!!!

2) When attempting to catch a turkey from an airplane, don’t be like this lady!!!!

Misc Stuff-AFC Update September 2012

Hello and greetings fellow otaku,

Well I know it has been over a month and a half since I last did a post, but I got some major stuff that I want to share with you guys, so hang on to your seats and get ready for the AFC Update for September 2012!!!!

1) AFC will be four years old this month-Well I can’t believe this myself, but in a little less than a weeks time this little site will be four years old. It feels like just yesterday I did my first post in which it launched a new and fresh voice on the world of Japanese animation. Well over the years I have been on fire and sometimes I have ran out of steam. This was due to me completing my college education and looking for full-time work afterwards. However, I am happy to say that now I finally have a full-time job at my previous employer as a Library Assistant so I am glad that bit of weight is off my shoulders. Like the old saying goes, “Good things come to those who wait”.

But I digress. While the last three years have taken a tole on me, I can promise you that you will be seeing a ton of more posts from me in the weeks to come. More on anime, more on manga, more on comics and a whole lot more. So keep your eyes pealed and your minds opened for more otaku goodness.

2) DC (New 52) Zero month is here-Now for all you comic book fans out there, this past week DC comics launched it’s “New 52” zero month campaign in which all the current titles are going to start at issue zero for all the new readers out there in which will consist of origin stories for each characters but not only that, their will be five new series that will be introduced as well including Swords of Sorcery and The Phantom Stranger just to name a few. And for those of you who want to know what you should read and what you should stay away from, don’t worry I will do all of that work for you!!!!

3) AFC is going to SanDiego Comic-Con 2013!!!!!-And now for one of the biggest announcements ever to hit in the history of AFC. I am happy to announce that I will be taking AFC on the road to SanDiego Comic Con 2013!!!! I will be spending the entire week perusing the show floor to see some of the great cosplayers, new comic books, toys, games and much much more. I will also be taking a look at some of the local comic book shops in the area and some famous landmarks that California has to offer. It’s going to be an interesting summer and one that you won’t want to miss.

And would you believe that it’s already getting cold outside. Well in my area it is, but I don’t know about you but I plan on catching up on some much needed anime,manga and comics to read. Hopefully I will be able to catch some of the new series that will be airing in Japan this fall. Misc Stuff-Happy New Year 2012 From Anime Full Circle!!!!!

Hello and greetings fellow otaku,

Well let me be the first to say welcome to the year 2012!!!!! Hopefully you all had a great 2011, but while I had some interesting moments this past year, their were some not so great moments in my life as well. However, I feel that this year is going to be the year of great success not only for me but for Anime Full Circle as well. But before I go into what I have in store for you guys this year, let me take just a moment to look back at AFC in 2011.

One thing to mention is that just this past month, we had manage to reach over 75,000 visitors on AFC. For me this is another great accomplishment that shows many of you are still loyal to us and that you find us an interesting source for the latest information about the world of Japanese Animation and Otaku Culture. But while I wasn’t able to post much this past year, one of my new year’s resolutions is going to be to post more often and come up with new and innovative ideas for the site.

But were not stopping at just new posts, I am also going to bring you tons of new anime, manga and video game reviews along with a look in the world of popular graphic novels including works from Marvel and DC Comics. This will bring a new meaning to AFC in which we will go full circle and beyond. So get ready guys for the release of Anime Full Circle 2.0, the rebirth of AFC!!!!!

Misc Stuff-In Memorandum: Steve Jobs 1955-2011!!!!

Well we have a bit of breaking news that just came forth just about forty-five minutes ago that I would like to bring to your attention. For those of you who haven’t heard yet, For Apple CEO and Founder Steve Jobs passed away this evening after a long battle of Pancreatic Cancer.

As the current CEO Tim Cook stated to Apple employees earlier today,

“ Team,

I have some very sad news to share with all of you. Steve passed away earlier today.

Apple has lost a visionary and creative genius, and the world has lost an amazing human being. Those of us who have been fortunate enough to know and work with Steve have lost a dear friend and an inspiring mentor. Steve leaves behind a company that only he could have built, and his spirit will forever be the foundation of Apple.

We are planning a celebration of Steve’s extraordinary life for Apple employees that will take place soon. If you would like to share your thoughts, memories and condolences in the interim, you can simply email rememberingsteve@apple.com.

No words can adequately express our sadness at Steve’s death or our gratitude for the opportunity to work with him. We will honor his memory by dedicating ourselves to continuing the work he loved so much.

Overall, I am sadden to hear that such a great visionary had his life cut tragically short. Steve was one of the greatest visionaries of the twentieth century.  May his legacy live on now and well into the future.

Misc Stuff-Afc Is Back Baby!!!!!!

Well after two long months without creating a new post, I am happy to say that we are back baby!!!!! But not only that,

Well not exactly, but it sure feels like it. So your probably wondering what the heck happened to me these last two months? Well with the liquidation of Borders going into the last two weeks along with my continued job hunting escapades, I had to put some of my blogging on hold. However, I am happy to announce that we are back and I will be blogging at full force in the coming weeks.

Along with that, I will also be covering Catherine and also King of Fighters 13 for Xbox. Unfortunately, their will be a slight delay since I had to use the money that I was saving up for my Xbox 360 to take care of other business in my life. Along with that, this year we will be turning three years old. And I am very happy that I have been brining you the latest news and commentary relating to the anime industry and everything in between. Thus as we start our fourth year in anime journalism, I feel that this will be one of the best years for the industry yet.

Misc Stuff-Anime Full Circle Reaches 50,000 Visitors!!!!!! PARTY TIME!!!!!!

Hello and greetings fellow otaku,

“Celebrate good times, come on!!!!!!! It’s a celebration” (Music Stops Abruptly) OH S***, now I Kool and The Gang royalties for using that lyric from “Celebration”. Well there goes the budget for the remainder of the year LOL!!!!!

But anyway, as you may or may not have noticed, our visitor counter has finally reached the 50,000 visitor milestone!!!!! So this calls for a little celebration, so LETS PARTY!!!!!

OK, maybe not like that, but I guess it works. Anyway, I just want to personally thank all you loyal readers and supporters out there for helping keep the site running strong for the last two and a half years. Everyday when I check the stats, I see that we are gaining new and new readers all the time. We are well over the hundred hits mark and we just recently reached over two hundred and fifty hits in one single day.

This means that there are many of you out there who care about blogs that give a personal touch on the anime industry. Overall, I do keep the site interesting by brining you interesting features such as AFC Adults Only, Anime Remix and AFC First Looks just to name a few. I always like to come up with new ideas for the site and I can assure you guys that there is more coming down the pipeline as we speak.

So once again, thank you all very much for your continued support for AFC, were only just getting this party started and who knows, maybe a few months from now we will reach 100,000 visitors. Misc Stuff-Under A Bit Of Stress At The Moment!!!!! Will Resume Regular Posting Soon :)

Hello and greetings fellow otaku,

Now for those of you loyal readers out there know, for over the last few months I have been trying to find full time work. But so far, I have been having some bad luck with my search with either companies that are not hiring or I end up getting an interview but I didn’t get the job. Overall this has been affecting me personally in which I have been under a lot of stress.

Thus my performance here at AFC has been lacking some of its luster. I haven’t been able to post as much as I wanted to or watch as much anime as I wanted to along with other feature segments such as Anime Remix, Anime March Madness and my Pokémon Game Play coverage as I wanted to. But please keep in mind that AFC will not be shutting down any time soon and that I do from time to time suffer from these periods of Bloggers Block, but I have been able to get over it and improve my performance overall.

So to all you loyal readers out there, please be patient!!!!! I am trying to do the best I can to get back on track, and once I do, I can assure you that AFC will be better than ever. Misc. Stuff-Anime March Madness 2011 Round One Update

Hello and greetings fellow otaku,

Well the first round of AMM 2011 is well underway, and from what we have been hearing from insiders, it has been a real grudge match. Here are some of the highlights.

In the first half we see Yomi giving Tomo a very excruciating facial after Tomo saying that she was “BAKA” for not  recording her favorite tv show last night. Hey Tomo, there is a brand new invention called “TiVo” ever heard of it???? But the action does not stop there, later on we see Tomo sneaking into Yomi’s room in which she makes fun of her pen name “Tearful Little Diet Girl” on a live radio show.  That really had to hurt Yomi, but it does give Tomo the edge at the end of the first half.

As for the second half, it gets really ugly, and I mean really ugly. Unfortunately the producers  have declined to air the footage from the second half since it is absolutely too raw for TV. But at the end of the second half, it is a split contest in which each competitor has gotten equal opportunity over the other.

So at this point we are heading into overtime for this match. What will happen, check back tomorrow for all the exciting action plus exclusive commentary and previews of match-ups two and three right here on Anime Center.
